CarmDAS Children & Young People's service provides a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for children and young people who have lived in an abusive household or who have been subjected to domestic abuse. We provide support and interventions using activities, 1-1 support sessions and facilitate group programmes. We work in partnership with families, schools and other services involved with children and young people and advocate for their needs in the wider community.
Our support aims to improve the emotional and physical well-being of children and young people and build communication skills by helping them to identify and express their feelings and manage emotions, implement healthy boundaries and build their resilience. Our workers can help children and young people build their knowledge about healthy relationships and domestic abuse is and developing positive coping strategies.
