Domestic abuse is a result of gender inequality and is rooted in power and control. It can affect anyone. Domestic abuse is a choice that the abuser makes. If you are being subjected to domestic abuse you are not to blame.
Our "one stop" community team are for anyone impacted by domestic abuse. We are a service for anyone struggling with the impact of domestic abuse including women, men, the LGBT+ community and those from the BME community.

Our crisis intervention services are typically the first point of contact for anyone needing support or advice around domestic abuse.
The CarmDAS team will listen to you and ask questions about your situation in a confidential safe space. We can provide information and guidance on domestic abuse and help put a package of support together for you.
At all times we will work with you to increase safety and help you to make informed decisions. We can also refer you to other/additional services so that you can have the support that is right for you.
After any immediate risks to you or your children have been addressed you may find that you require further support.
CarmDAS team provides longer term support to survivors of domestic abuse. You will be assigned a worker who will work with you, providing practical and emotional support around issues that may be challenging to you as result of the abuse you have experienced. We will work together to identify what you want to achieve and help you create a plan to get you there.
The CarmDAS team act with care and curiosity and are fully trained to understand some of the concerns you may have. Our Team includes a MARAC Co-ordinator and specialist workers. We support all those being subjected to abuse, tailoring our support to meet your individual needs. Our Support Charter sets out what you can expect from us.
