Carmarthen Domestic Abuse Services invite applications for the post of:

CRISIS /DROP IN SUPPORT WORKER

25 hours per week
£22,200 (pro rata based on a 37hr week)
(This is a 2 year, Fixed Term, Post – Funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation)

Based in Carmarthen but may be required to travel within Carmarthenshire.

Applications are sought for this highly rewarding role, from individuals who have excellent
knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse. It will involve working alone and working
as part of a dedicated team with people in crisis or under duress who are affected by
domestic abuse. The Crisis Drop In Worker will provide emotional and practical support to
people, assisting them to access advice and information on safety. Applicants will be
required to deal with referrals, conduct assessments, attend meetings such as the MARAC;
liaise with other agencies and have the ability to produce written reports. The applicant
needs to be able to work confidently with IT systems and use their own initiative. The role
includes participation in the 24hr on call service.
